For sale is a 1960/1961 Frigidaire Electric Range. Right now I prefer
to sell the entire thing at once. If I don't get any nibbles I may be
willing to part it out. Since I don't know what it's worth to someone
I've got it priced at $375.00. Figured I'll start there and see where
we end up.
The coolest feature of this range is that the burners pull out from
underneath the unit when you want to use them. With a little bit of
TLC and some cleaning this retro stove probably has some life left to
it. This unit has served us well since we bought the house 20 years
ago. My wife and I have bought a new range and no longer need this
one. The stove and the cabinet it sits on have been removed from my
kitchen and are currently sitting in my garage. There is no metal base
unit. The range actually sits on a custom made cabinet that matches my
other cabinets. The cabinet will be included if you want it . The main
reason we are replacing this unit is that the two left burners do not
work. I thought the switches were bad so I had bought two new switches
(over $100.00 for both). Installed one switch and the burner still did
not work. Had a guy come out to fix the stove and the problems is not
the switches . . . looks like the wires either fried for the left
burners and will need to be re-wired or there is just a broken wire.
The repairman wanted to wait until the spring to take the range out of
the kitchen and do the rewiring in the garage. We decided to just
replace the whole range. The new switches will be included. All four
heating elements have been tested and are good. Both ovens work. The
clock does not work. There supposedly is an internal fan . . . not
sure if it works as we don't remember hearing any noise coming from
the unit. The knobs are in so-so condition and will probably need to
be replaced. Here's the important info:

- Two left burners DO NOT work (burners have been tested and are
good, wiring from controls to burners is fried and
will need to be replaced/rewired)
- Clock DOES NOT work
- Large right oven needs cleaning
I PREFER LOCAL PICK-UP ONLY! I'd be willing to work with you to have
it shipped to your location but you will be responsible for making it
happen (i.e., crating, dealing with freight line, etc.). This range is
heavy . . . it took 3 people and 1 hand cart to get it out of my
kitchen.
